First the "violent" video. Headsup, the first one is graphic; we didn't show it all
Saturday Night Live's "DJesus Uncrossed" below, and discussion here by Kurt Willems

Interesting scriptures on the paradox of gentle violence..
Especially Romans 16:20:
"The God of peace will soon
violently crush Satan under your feet"..
Because we started Romans today by( of course) reading the lase chapter before we start from the beginning.
We were so blessed to note all the women Paul mentioned in his list of names..
Take just the first few sentences:
I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deacon[a][b] of the church in Cenchreae. 2 I ask you to receive her in the Lord in a way worthy of his people and to give her any help she may need from you, for she has been the benefactor of many people, including me.
Then:
Greet Priscilla[c] and Aquila, my co-workers in Christ Jesus. 4 They risked their lives for me. Not only I but all the churches of the Gentiles are grateful to them.
5 Greet also the church that meets at their house.
We noted that this is husband and wife, but strangely, subversively,
Paul mentioned the wife's name first!
And then:
6 Greet Mary, who worked very hard for you.
And then the gal who was such an anointed apostle that we have deleted her from the Bible and history
7 Greet Andronicus and Junia, my fellow Jews who have been in prison with me. They are outstanding among[d] the apostles, and they were in Christ before I was.
This is also likely husband and wife.
We read from:
Junia's sex change:female apostles lost in translation
Let me come out of the closet to recommend Scot McKnight's E-book, Junia is Not Alone. If you don't have a Kindle, Amazon offers a free Kindle reader..
I wonder why an E Book? Too controversial for Christian bookstores?

Scot takes readers on a tour of how Junia has been treated in translation. Over the years the politics of interpretation created an occasion for Junia to have a sex-change. And then, and how the new Junias was killed off in the process of restoring Junia to her place in Scripture. If you would like an introduction into E.J. Epp’s, Junia: The First Woman Apostle, then Junia Is Not Alone is a good place to start.,,
Oh, and if this is not enough to prompt you to read Scot’s new book, Bill Kinnon said you should!

Pharisees .lay scholars/ middle class Oral and Written Torah angels, demons, resurrection........

Then of course., the highlight of the day. Thanks to Keltic Ken's konnection, we were able to Skype in and meet two new amazing and delightful friends/members from Germany Ruth and Janna. They are married, and had heard that we were the kind of Christians who wouldn't hate them for it:
